20 years since i peeped this as an identity-confused pubescent suckhead. mostly remember that i didn't remember much. never been a strong favorite but it's aged in an amusing way. equal parts so lame that they're fun, visually weird in a way that betray the fact there's a big horror nerd behind the wheel, yet still a little too mainstream comic book restrained. nowhere near as much as the current marvel template, yet even pre-mcu this feels a little fish nor fowl. read more

cult of personality 2019 traci lords watched on itunes. this was really fun, another solid 90's action movie. this is probably the best comic book movie of the 90's i've seen (well between this and batman returns, not much competition!) and didn't really feel like edge lord shit that was ruining 90's comics. wesley snipes was great here, delivering some cool lines. action scenes were really good and well directed. the cgi, as expected for the 90's, ages horribly bad. definitely a good movie, and i want the rest of the blade movies. traci lords is in here briefly in the prologue. she... read more

fantastic vampire movie from 90's, wesley snipes making a good job, the plot was good, the action scenes are fantastic. here the human/vampire is stronger than a pure blood vampire, but still a good vampire movie to me. 9/10. read more

film 28 of obligatory october of horror ii jumpscare counter: just one; this is an action flick that's classed as horror because it's about vampires not much to say here. somewhat over the top 90s action flick. better than i expected, i guess. gets a bit silly sometimes but still very entertaining. digital vfx really haven't aged well, especially in contrast to the great practical effects. probably would have been a 7 if it weren't for the extremely awkward bite/sex scene. read more

Blade has some people arguing that this movie started the MCU, I dont think it did! This movie is just watchable at best. The action sequences are fine but they arent spectacular. Some of the CGI in the movie is quite bad, but you kind of forgive it since its 1998. Blade is a decent lead character here but there werent any other characters in this movie that I would say are memorable. Overall, Blade is a watchable movie but isnt a must watch if you havent seen this before. read more

30 day movie challenge Решил чекнуть сценариста фильма, им оказался Дэвид Гойер. Потом решил посмотреть к каким фильма он ещё писал сценарий и ахуел. Ахуел от того, насколько же сильно режиссерам и в принципе всей команде фильма ВСЕГДА приходится прыгать выше головы, когда у них сценарист этот ебаклак. Получается я посмотрел 8 фильмов с его сценарием, и все полное говно с точки зрения сюжета. В Бэтманах приходилось Нолану и Леджеру чето придумывать, в БпС там уже Снайдер выжимал из себя все библейские отсылочки. Ну, а здесь пришлось постараться всем.
