A meek dog groomer endures so much bullying from a local thug that he takes extreme measures to earn back his self-respect. Based on a notorious 1988 true crime story that shocked Italy for its unprecedented savagery, "Dogman" pretends to be building up tension like any classic revenge movie and then boldly chooses the opposite way, showing its protagonist to be the true victim.
