i tought the ending could end on a really depressing note, i havent read the short story so i dont know how it was. but the idea of getting old and you know, not being accepted all the same could have ended really depressing. the film kinda lost like half a star for the ending alone but whatever. the rest is pretty good, altough a little long. read more

Ridiculous, but then again how could it not be? The characters are kinda static and there's no real plot or stakes and the most interesting thing about the movie is what will Benjamin look like next. It's got good performances and attention to detail, it's a nice easy watching type movie. You get the sense that it's trying to be a grandiose tearjerking piece of cinema but it doesn't quite have the writing or buildup to deliver that promise. I still enjoyed it nonetheless and the long run time never felt like a huge issue. read more

Of all the things, I never expected to see Brad Pitt riding a motorcycle through a village in India. Added to the list of 'movies that leaves an emotional dent'. Besides the movie being unlike Fincher's other films it still stands out in his filmography. The screenplay too was immaculate which makes the movie much more heart warming. read more
