Crime, Thriller

one of the greatest film noirs, though it would have benefited greatly from about 80% fewer "baby"s from fred macmurray. he didn't look comfortable or natural saying it and it just feels weird. barbara stanwyck is fantastic and is convincingly captivating. i believe that she was able to bend this weak man to her will. the absolute scene-stealer is edward g. robinson. he is incredible delivering some incredibly sharp dialogue so seamlessly. his presence is what elevates double indemnity from a standard noir into a classic. watched as part of scavenger hunt 50 task #15: watch a film... read more
