i love the harry potter films as much as i love the books. the visual representation of what i'd imagined as i read them is startling. for once i think the film companies did right by the source material and ploughed the right amount of money in. the money is all up on screen with the amazing sets. the ministry of magic is dazzling. i could have watched that fight between dumbledore and voldemort for hours. read more

i came to the shocking realization over the course of the movie's runtime that i don't think i've ever seen it before. i was sure i had seen every harry potter movie, but it seems i was wrong. and here i was, missing one of the best ones. the order of the phoenix feels less like just another year at hogwarts and more like a full blown conspiracy thriller with dangerous magical trappings. it's definitely got a more forward moving story than any previous movie had. it's probably because for the first time, the story is well and truly centered on the mystery of potter's past, and the looming read more
