ever wonder what john carpenter would of done if he ever made a coen brothers style thriller? well here is your answer... cold in july is a great little film with 3 great lead performances and a solid twisty story that you never know where it will lead. it starts with a bang and just as you are getting used to a revenge thriller it turns itself on it's head and becomes something else entirely. then when you are used to that it changes again and then again... this was a very enjoyable and well made thriller. michael c. hall once again impresses in a role that is drastically different from read more

Very good thriller from the Michael C. Hall from the TV series Dexter,it wasn't overly violent and the writers seem to have taken care with it compared to some drivel of late.One of the writers does pop up as a cop.Hall was very good and the mixture of Sam Shepard and Don Johnson made this a very watchable film. read more
