Animation continues to change with its different styles, and I love it. The film was funny, action-packed, and is actually kind of emotional in some parts. Performances were great, the score was cool, and this film as a whole is awesome. Go watch it. read more

Finally, the modern take this franchise desperately needed. An animated superhero film that isn't ashamed of being from this era and unabashedly plays into it instead of making fun of it through self-aware jokes. In an era where all super hero films are either making fun of what's recently been made or imitating what used to be way back when, here's a movie that is comfortable being from the year 2023 and ACTUALLY FEELING LIKE IT. How is this a kids movie? New York looks so filthy and every creature is disgustingly twisted. I love it! The turtles in this one also felt like actual teenagers. I'm sure that this will feel quite dated in a few years time with all the references, but that's what makes this so teenager-y and that's great. read more
