A surprisingly amusing but also equally scary edgeseater critiquing the elitism, ungreatefulness and false pride that surrounds even the most mundane things we indulge in.Like food. A wonderful, important and yet overly commodified, horrid and wasteful industry.And The Menu tells a story trying to stand up against that.

Man that was amazing. I love dark comedic satire so much and when done right is just one of my favorite things. This really did not disappoint. The performances were just wonderful, Nicholas Hoult was so insufferable, honestly, just perfect. Everyone gives it their all and everything clicked for me, it's just one of those that it's hard to talk about because everything that is so funny about it is embedded into the plot. Another movie where people do nothing like Speak No Evil. The beginning of these pretentious fools talking about the food reminded me of some reviewers on letterbox. I wondered if they graded their farts later in the night.It's not a bad movie, it's not a remake, it's not a sequel and it's pretty damn unique. That gets points. I didn't get over powered by the woke here (that was nice). And good God Judith Light from Who's The Boss got old! Worth a watch, reminded me of Vivarium, The Platform and Would You Rather in tone and / or style. read more

As a comedic horror or whatever this fucking movie was intended to be, it was funny. As a pure horror flick? Not enough horror. It was good, filled with as many pretentious wankers as the writer could create, and Ralph Fiennes' performance topped it off. The only disappointment is there was no cannibalism involved. read more
