Very anticipated story, but so far very lacking.

As of episode 3 it is a rather generic "look for the bad guys base of operation" trope like done a million times before. It neither does it bad so far nor does it do anything special there.

The visuals are stunning and fit the universe as of episode 3, well done so far. The characters arent the best translation from the animated show in part, but that was to be expected. Except chopper, chopper is perfectly done.

The sounds and music fit the star wars universe well.

Characters are the biggest flaw of the show so far as of episode 3. Somehow even with quite some time passing since rebels Sabine has aged backwards and turned into a rebellious 6 year old mentally. Ahsoka fits her character so far, so does Hera. I really hope they do Thrawn justice.

So far I am without a doubt disappointed. I expected a lot, because Ahsoka and Thrawn are one of my favorite characters in the Star Wars Universe. However the episodes so far felt pointless, artifically stretched out and irrelevant. I caught myself drifting off during watching and checking my phone because the show simply isn't good (yet). There are still a lot of episodes to go, so it could be a very very slow start leading up to something good, but if it stays at the current quality and/ or pace I wish they never made the series.
