Highly addictive

Synopsis

Takemichi's second year of middle school was the highest point in his life. Today, he's a nobody. He sees a sudden news report on the Tokyo Maji Gang's murder of the only girlfriend he ever had alongside her brother. Before a train ends his life, he flashes back to twelve years ago. After being forced to relive the same day, he meets Hinata's younger brother. He admits to his seeming death before flashing back to the past and urges him to protect his sister before returning to the future. Miraculously, he isn't dead, and the future has changed. It seems as though he can alter the flow or time. Given the chance to save his ex - girlfriend, Takemichi flies through time to change the future. 

Smooth

I think the animation style works well with the look and art of the characters. It's pretty fluid and is animated nicely. 

Clear

Audio of voice acting and the OST for the anime works well and is easy to hear with no issues. I think a lot of the songs fit well with the anime.

Dynamic

With so many different personalities, it feels like a lot of thought was put into their creation to make them come to life as being like their own selves and not just part of a universe revolving around a single character. They're interesting, fun and all around enjoyable whether they are meant to be the protagonists, the villains or someplace in - between. I think a lot of the designs in the characters also make them loveable and memorable to a lot of people regardless of their screen time and the role they play with one another that makes them feel like they stand alone in their own world while still being a good support in the overall story of Takemichi's adventure.

Immediately Hooked

I definitely loved the first portion of this anime and how it gradually escalated with all of its twists, turns and loops throughout. It surprisingly left me wanting more after it ended, and the cliffhanger was so intense that I was shocked for quite some time after everything had happened. The character development, the interesting action and events that ensue, as well as the plot itself and its theme are all brought beautifully to life with the animation and art style. If you're looking for a new anime that will keep your attention for hours each episode, has a great art style as well as an amazing base theme that suits fittingly with the story, look no further than this binge worthy piece!

[Tokyo Revengers: Chibi Revenge] ~~ Rating: 10 stars

Synopsis: The short 2-minute-long specials center on the daily lives of the various Tokyo Revengers characters. Each episode is related to the anime episode preceding its airing. 

Review: It basically serves an in-between of what happened between each episode leading up to the events seen in the main anime. It's a nice little comedic break from the seriousness of the anime itself and the episodes are very short (2 minutes) so it's easy to watch all 24 episodes in one sitting. As far as I've found, there is no dub version for this mini - series, but I do think that it is still worth the watch for some cute fun and a little insight into plot that wasn't seen in the show itself.
